The short version
We collect your email address if you give it to us, and your shipping details if you buy something. That’s it. We don’t run tracking ads, we don’t sell data, and we don’t use analytics that follow you around the internet.
The newsletter
When you sign up for The Nightcap we store your email address, the page you signed up from, the time, and your IP address (to stop abuse of the form). We send a confirmation link first; nothing goes out until you click it. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works in one click and removes you immediately. Mail is sent through Resend, our email provider; the list itself lives in a database on Cloudflare.
The shop
Checkout is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe sends us your name, email, shipping address and what you bought, so the order can be made and shipped. We keep that order record so we can help with a replacement or a question. Our production partner receives only what they need to print and ship the item.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses no tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for two things: remembering whether the lamp is on or off (light or dark mode) and holding your cart until you check out. Both stay in your browser. Neither is sent to us.
Logs
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and performance. We don’t combine them with anything else.
Your rights
Email hello@fuckoffimreading.com and we’ll tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Unsubscribing deletes you from the newsletter list on the spot.
